Shoulder improvement and sealing works on the South Western Highway, including pavement construction and seal subcontractor management.
Scope included
- Clearing as per clearing plan
- Cart and side cast gravel direct from trucks
- Balance gravel to appropriate thickness using a grader
- Light roll using a smooth drum roller to provide a firm track for the Graderliser
- Mixing and conditioning to agreed depth
- Testing to ensure specified compaction is achieved
- Trimming and compacting of gravel within tolerances
- Final roll using a final trim grader and multi wheel roller
- Manage sealing and line marking contractor
