Associated with the integration of their new Balranald minesite, and to support additional feedstock storage capacity at their Narngulu Mineral Separation Plant, we were contracted by Iluka Resources to construct an extension to their HMC (Heavy Mineral Concentrate) storage pad in Geraldton, WA.

  • Construct earthen bunds for wind protection

Construction works

  • Site clearing and topsoil stripping
  • Cut to fill
  • Embankment construction
  • Import of fill
  • Construct pavement layers
  • Seal and asphalt storage pad access and ring road
  • Form drains and sump with edge protection
  • Import and form 380m long x 5m high wind protection bund
RDH delivered the project safely, on time and on budget, with minimum disruption to existing operations.
