RDH was contracted by CBH to construct Temporary Grain Storage Facilities in Narngulu in WA's Mid West in order to manage record-breaking harvest volumes and enhance supply chain efficiencies.
Project scope
Construction of Peak Planning bulkheads to meet the 2025/26 Harvest Program, consisting of bulk earthworks, drainage works, pavement and hardstand construction works, and set out points for open bulkhead (OBH) frames.
Bulk earthworks
- Clearing
- Topsoil removal
- Foundation preparation
- Embankment construction
Drainage works
- Construction of stormwater drains around roads
- Connection of stormwater drains to a newly constructed basin
- Supply and install of culverts
Pavement and hardstand construction works
- Supply and install of ridge gravel including cement stabilisation for access roads, cross overs, DOG road and underside of OBH frames
- Construct hardstand area for tarp roads and within the OBH frames area
- Provide set out points for OBH frames
