Durlacher and Maitland Street roundabout

RDH were contracted by the City of Geraldton to construct a roundabout at an identified black spot location in the Geraldton CBD. As a main artery into the CBD, it was imperative that the works were delivered in the shortest possible time frame and with minimal impact on stakeholders in the immediate work area that included businesses, residents, a seniors centre and a primary school. RDH proposed an alternate to the request and closed the work area to traffic, reversing school zones and creating alternate access to residents and businesses impacted by the works. As such RDH brought the project in well ahead of schedule and to a very high standard.

Scope included

• Liaising with utility providers and service installation and relocation of power, gas and optic fibre
• Removal of 20mtr pine trees and root systems
• Upgrade of existing and installation of new road drainage
• Landscaping and paths
• Pavement construction
• Asphalt surfacing
• Retaining walls
• Raising of Water Corp lids and services
• Complex traffic management in the Geraldton CBD
